What Are Your Monthly Goals?

Get rid off the feeling of time flying by and that you haven’t accomplish anything. Write down you goals for June now!

We all know that if we want to accomplish something we need to setup some short term goals. How do you setup your short term goals? By days, weeks, or by how much is getting done? I find that doing monthly goals is the best. It takes 30 days for habits to form and it’s a nice pace to achieve the goals. When the 30 days are over, it’s best to keep reinstate the goals or make a new one. By setting up monthly goals you’ll have something to remember and be proud of yourself once the year is over.

I haven’t been feeling so well lately because of the weather changes. I let a few weeks slip by but no more, I’m taking action! For this month I’m setting up a few goals:

  • Walk outside for at least 20 minutes a day to keep my blood flowing nicely throughout my body and my lymph
  • Weight lifting at least 2 times a week to get stronger bones and muscles.
  • Going vegetarian full time for immune boosting properties. Better immune help to prevent disease!

I believe going vegetarian outweighs far more benefits to the health and the environment we live in. I’ve never heard of any vegetarians getting sick. Maybe vitamin deficiency if not careful. But heck, it’s better to prevent disease than worrying about not getting enough vitamins!

    I am a strong believer in setting goals. Eating cleaner, healthier food, taking extra walks, including weightlifting in the routine are great tips! Nice post!

    My goals are to finally clean up the basement and get back into shape by working out for at least 30 minutes everyday. 😀

    I set goals but I can never achieve them. I follow the day to day goals pretty religiously. I might set the goals to high so I can never reach them.

    Sanjib Sarkar, Goals can never be too high. Have you heard the saying, if you shoot for the star at least you’ll hit the moon. We may never get 100% accomplishment, but perhaps 50% is a good start.

    I like you idea of changing habits bit by bit. Find healthy lifestyle changes you can live with for a lifettime. Short term, reachable goals can be very helpful. It gives you positive feed-back and incentive to reach longer term goals.

    I like the idea of monthly goals… but sometimes I think I just need daily or weekly goals too. It seems hard lately to hit any goals. So maybe just establishing a single goal each day will get me moving again.

    Today’s goal was to clear the mess I left by the side of the house last year when doing yard work. Funny, I got that done, then rested and am about half way to clearing the new mess created by some of this years bush cutting. I hope to finish that at least after resting a bit more.

    Say no to diet pills, they are the worst thing that a person can do. I speak from experience as I took some pills about 25 years ago and I thought I was going to lose my mind. It deprived me of my much needed sleep
    and gave me suicidal thoughts.

    Now, I eat less and exercice a bit and I am doing a lot better with weight loss.

    I started to walk with Nordic Poles a few months ago and it really helps to slim down.
