A lovely comfort tea on a cold evening is a Japanese Gen-mai Cha. It's a toasted brown rice mixed with a nice bold-leaf Sencha green. Mmmmm! I get that from UptonTea.com.

At the moment, I'm drinking my way through a tin of Japanese Sencha Yamato. Which has been very nice and I would happily order it again!

I've never myself been overly convinced of the weight loss claims, but I do think the green teas have good antioxidants and hey, when you buy good tea, it also tastes great! Low in caffeine, and because one is drinking more liquids, it keeps the tummy full and hunger away.

I think most people who hate green tea just haven't had nicer ones. I know the very first time I tried green tea, I picked up this AWFUL stuff in the grocery store (Salada brand) because it was cheap. Well, I did drink it, but it was pretty bad. I spent more next time on some decent Stash teas, but now I order nice organic whole leaf tea and use an infuser most of the time. So much better tasting!

I thought green tea is a hype. I guess it may be some true when they say green tea is good for weight loss. But then again, long term is what it counts. Let's see at the end of the next month, but if it's not I'll still enjoy drinking it :)
