Whole 30 September – Day 10 sugar craving

Day 10 of Whole30. Sugar is starting to haunt my brain so I made a strawberry-mango ice cream. Mix frozen strawberries with mango and coconut milk in a blender. It’s very good and it satisfies my sugar craving.

Broccoli that we bought from the grocery store is not as good as from the farmer’s market. I just discovered that the market is here every Saturday. What a luxury! 🙂

Whole 30 September – Day 9

Day 9 of Whole30 – I think the detox feeling is gone today. I can’t believe I’ve finished 9 days! I went from being carbohydrates and sugar addicted, to eating clean and healthy food with lots of greens and fruits.
When I tried Low carb high fat diet before I couldn’t eat anything without rice, pasta or potatoes. But with whole30 I have no problem! I’m surprised that the food could taste so good with simple ingredients, without sauces and all the additives.

Stir fried shrimp with vegetables.

Chicken frikadelle soup
Boil water in a large saucepan. Throw in onions, garlic, coriander, allspice and carrots. Cook for about 10 minutes. Throw in the chicken balls (seasoned with salt and pepper) and zucchini. Cook for another 5-10 minutes. Add the shiitake mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes more. Salt if necessary.
