I’m slightly off track but I’m ok with it. I had 299 daily calorie deficit but the change doesn’t show up yet.  It was a sedentary week with too much pizza and ice cream . I start off this week by walking even though I don’t feel motivated at all since it’s freezing cold -10°C (14 F°).  But once outside I always feel better.

Happy New Year! 2011 is about planning, fixing and building a foundation. Matte and I have a discussion about what we want, and what we need is a break out of daily routines by taking a 7 months long vacation and travel to see the world. So the date is set on June 2014.

1215 days until June 2014!

What are your big plans for 2011?

This is awesome! No more guessing games with the calories in and calories out. Now I will succeed. :)

My daily average activity is 19 minutes. I need to increase it to at least 30 minutes.

The chart  shows only 6 days because I restarted the program on Monday. In the bodybugg web application,  the bar chart changes to yellow when hover over .

FitBit

Another alternative to Bodybugg or Bodymedia Fit is FitBit. Current price is $99. It uses a motion sensor like the ones found in the Nintendo Wii. You don’t have to pay anything to use it with the website but there is an optional premium membership which is about $50 per year. Visit Elizabeth Sherman blog for Bodybugg vs FitBit.

I bought my bodybugg version 3 from Elizabeth Sherman, a licensed wellness coach.  Great service!  My bf is also ordering his. We’re hoping it will arrive before Christmas. It takes about 7-8 days to Sweden. You can also rent the bodybugg if you’re in US.

Currently the bodybugg (with 6-month subscription to the web-based program) costs $145.00.
Renting is $25.00 per week.

Alternatively:

If you live in UK there is KiFit, also by Body Media. Looks almost exactly the same as BodyMedia Fit.

In Canada or Australia? See BodyMedia FIT

KiFit, BodyMedia Fit, and Bodybugg are all from the same company, Body Media, but the web application or the online activity manager is not the same as for the Bodybugg. It displays the data and information differently.

Warning!
If you decide to purchase KiFit or BodyMedia Fit and don’t live in the countries mention above, you will not be able to subscribe to the online activity manager. These gadgets only work in conjunction with the web subscription.

I’ve to restart  my goal because I want my weigh in to be on Mondays. My first milestone is to lose 12 lbs by Sunday March 13 – that’s 1 lb (about 0,5kg) per week. My weight is up because of hormonal changes but looking at the weight chart I’m still on target :)

This is what the Bodybugg web application looks like.

Yesterday was a good day because I had 657 calorie deficit. I burned a little bit more than my target which is 1850 calories. My caloric intake was under my target which is 1350 calories.

I was sedentary most of the day. You can see some spikes in the calories burn chart where I shoveled snow, cooked and walked.

Sometimes my calorie balance is in a surplus but I don’t feel stress like before because I feel more confidence that I can handle this.

Good morning! ^^

I was thinking about buying a Bodybugg when it first came out but was afraid that it would be yet another dust collecting weight loss gadget. But I love my Bodybugg! I’ve been wearing it since Wednesday and it’s an eye opener how sedentary I am.  As the same time I feel relax because it takes the stress out of planning. All I’ve to do in the moment is to get moving and be more active.

I know I said earlier that I’ve put away the scale, but I need some sort of measurement. I can’t do the tape measurement right so I’ve been back to weigh myself once a week.
