I wasn’t able to control my food cravings last week. I gave in for a few days, but I’m happy I didn’t gain weight. Overall the progress looks good, it’s moving forward very slowly. I’ve to be more patience because I know at the end of the year I’ll be getting closer to my goal

Cravings were hitting hard last week. I’d a few stray days of eating too much food, but my skinny me managed to keep the weight in check. I also went to a coffee shop. Yeah I know, I did tell you that I wouldn’t, but I was talking about cappuccino.
But I chose to eat half of the sandwich plus I ordered a healthy fruity green tea.
I’ve been doing great for many weeks in the row now, I hope it’ll continue so this week too.
I ate dinner at McD’s for 3 straight days now, but in term of the scale no damage was done. On contrary my weight has been dropping down. I hit a new low today. It could be the effect of green tea. It’s too early to tell. I was kind of feeling guilty for eating fast food too often, but something happened that made me think differently. I made peace and accepted that I had chosen to eat fast food. I was being conscious over my choice rather than feeling regretful later for what I ate. Since I’m being conscious about it I was able to control how much food I can eat next time. No more conflicted feelings!
What’s inside the filo parcels? It’s olives, sun dried tomatoes, and feta cheese. Yum! Yum

I bitched and I fought……with myself yesterday. I had cravings and it didn’t want to go away. My time of the month is coming, some said that’s also when the body burn more calories. I drank green tea, I sucked on a candy, I ate fruits but…nothing helped. I hold on to the thought, ”this is the last time I’ll ever see this number again.” Bobby said,
It’s like climbing a mountain, sometimes you climb faster, sometimes slower…as long as you make it to the top it doesn’t matter how fast!
It’s hard but I’ll get to the top. Later I decided to take a shower to calm myself down. The discomfort feeling was gone. I woke up 0.9 pound lighter this morning.
My Wii EA Sports Active arrive today, and I must say this is the best Wii workout games so far. I totally got sweaty at the end of the challenge. And it was at the easy level, 15-20 minutes only! I love it because of variety of sports activities/practices like baseball, inline skating, tennis, volleyball, basketball, and boxing. Plus a ton of other workout activities that I haven’t checked out yet. I started the 30 days challenge this afternoon, and later I was too tired (more like lazy) to stand in the kitchen so I went to McD’s. Opps =)

My goal for this month is to do better than last month, and it’s only two weeks left. Yikes! I’m going to have to push myself harder this week, more workouts. And no more going out to the club or having cappuccino at the coffee shop.
My lunch today, portobello burger with coleslaw, so yummy!

I’ve been planning to play tennis but the last couple of days I slept a lot! Today I was craving for a pear, wowy! That has never happened before. My weight is still going down, been eating candies and drinking green tea instead of a complete meal (late at evenings/nights).
I ordered real Chinese green/oolong teas over the internet, and that taste so much better than the regular tea. Something I’ve noticed is that they take away cravings and hunger. If I drink it before lunch and have one cracker, sometimes I’m not even hungry for lunch. Don’t misunderstand I do eat lunch. I’ve always thought that green tea is yucky, taste bitter and smell green. The one I like so much is oolong tea called green Buddha, it’s very mild, fresh, aromatic with a hint of flowers/greens.

I didn’t log it.
I’ve been spending a lot of time outdoor because the weather has been so nice. I was really tired yesterday but I decided to go to the park to throw Frisbee anyway. I wanted to do something ”today” that will help me move toward my happy weight. I’ve to remind myself that the KEY is doing it NOW and not planning and trying.
I’m so frustrated with my weight, especially when I feel heavy and tired. I think if I just could stop eating so late my weight would drop so fast. Yesterday I wanted to buy some candy canes so I went on a search for it, but no stores had it. Not even the candy store. I saw that they sell those candies on internet. But who order candies online?
So I bought some other candies that have few calories instead, hopefully it will prevent me from reaching for food when I’ve craving. I’m not really crazy about sweets and candies though.
I’m trying to be active as much as possible without thinking about burning calories and I don’t get hung up if I miss my workout a few days. It’s a waste of energy to worry about something that already has happened. I’m going to struggle a little bit less and enjoy life a bit more. My new focus is on total wellness, feeling happy, beautiful, and energetic. This is easy to forget when most of the time we only look at the scale and numbers.
Last time I measured my waist I wasn’t sure if I did it correctly. So this month’s number is even smaller, dropping 0.9 inches (2.2cm), I’m still unsure if I did it correctly for this month too. I tried on a red shirt that was very very tight before (the one on my progress page), but it doesn’t feel so tight anymore. Either the shirt is outstretched or me shrinking. I think it’s the former. Gosh, I feel so positive!
Scale wise I did good for April. Not great, but it’s a good start.
Anyway I’ve been working out at the gym 20-30 minutes almost everyday this week. Mostly lifting weights. And I had been out clubbing for the first time in many years. It was really fun and I even got a compliment from a girl which was nice to hear. My spirit is more up lifted, and I don’t wear baggy clothes anymore. I’m trying to jot down some of my old skinny habits, I’ll post them next week.

I’m going to do a quick post today. I’m tired. Last week I went to the gym….2 times. This week I’m going to push myself to be a little bit more active. Yesterday I went out to shop for new clothes and I noticed that I’ve a waistline
but my big belly is still in the way. I’m going to try to dress a little less baggy, maybe that will help me with the motivation. Below is my weight loss graph from 2008 to now. The scale is up this week but looking at the big picture make me feel better.
