It’s time to make a concrete plan if I’m going to be a happy skinny girl.

My daily goal

  • Stop eating after 8pm (When the craving kick in after that I’ll munch on something that’s healthy)
  • Walk 30 minutes/day, Monday-Friday. Switch the exercise every 2 weeks. When too busy/lazy, the minimum is 2 times per week.

My weekly goal

  • Once every week go out for a walk in the woods for daily dose of happiness.

I’m not on a diet but Carole (CommonSenseLiving.com) is absolutely right when she said that I’m stuck in the diet mentality, instead of thinking healthy. I’m trying to think healthy but can not avoid thinking about my weight. So, from now on I’m going to stop weighing myself everyday. Only at the end of each month I’ll evaluate the result. I’m afraid that I’ll gain weight but doing this will help me to focus more on good habits rather than unhealthy choices and bad thoughts.

I’m going to keep my fingers crossed! :)

  1. Nice to see someone who gets it. People get so focused on the what (weight loss) and not the how (actions). Without setting goals you are doomed to fail. Two suggestions that I like to make about exercising are 1. make it a habit to go to the gym, even if you don’t work out. Just drive there at the very least. 2. Do weight training and interval training for better fat burning.

I like the idea that you are always open to other ideas and really listen to people who may have a bit of good advice. I am lucky in a way because I’ve always loved walking. Problem for others that walk with me is that I walk too fast lol

A nice plan of action! I might add don’t be too hard on yourself…a half a step back occasionally is ok. Just respond by taking two steps forward. Nice post! :)

  9. KK – Thanks, I need all the luck I can get :)

  10. Mark – That’s the lesson I’m trying to learn right now. Be kind to myself! =)
