goals

It’s healthy you challenge week 12. It has been a busy and tiresome week. I didn’t get much exercise as I would like to. I was pumped up and excited to go to the gym, but then I lost my motivation when the car didn’t start. So last week I didn’t go to the gym at all. I lifted weights at home and headed up to a walking trail for a walk in the woods instead. It was calm, quiet and very relaxing.

I think I might have taken a big leap trying to shed all the diet mentalities at once. I’m going to step back a little bit with my plan. I’m going to weigh myself every week because I need something to work on, for now. And I’m going to scale back the exercise too. Currently I’m doing about one hour everyday (except on the weekend). I feel that’s a little bit too much. I yawn every time I lift weight! That’s a sign of boringness.

This week I’m going to try Mark’s 10/10/10 exercise solution to see if that would fit me better. Oh by the way, I’ve new design on my blog. I’m really happy with it this time.

I like the mindset here. We shouldn’t try to overdue things even if we are pumped up a lot. We can scale back and still continue great progress. Changing things up frequently helps keep us motivated.

    Way to go!

It’s always good to take a step back and reevaluate what you are doing. Keep making healthy choices!

;;) Hi I’m from HYC and thought I would say hi! I’m reevaluating myself as well. Trying to get back in the swing of things. Oh where did you get that chart. What a great way of keeping up with your info!

  4. Bobby – Maybe I’ll need to make a double plan to keep myself motivated all the time =)

MamaBearJune – I’m trying to remember that making healthy choices is the most important. But sometimes it’s difficult. Thanks for a reminder =)

mary beth – Thanks for dropping by and saying hello. Do you mean my goals chart? It’s joesgoals.com. Ever since I’ve used it, I’ve been better at keeping up with my goals :)

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I think scaling back sounds like a good idea. An hour every day is quite a bit. If you don’t like it, you can always go back to exercising more.

  6. Laura Jane – I guess I’m still in “all or nothing” thinking. I need to find a balance…
