Making lifestyle changes that last

It’s been a while since I blogged, and my weight has gone up! I thought, with help of blogging, it would take a couple of years to lose weight, but I’m still struggle. Come to think of it I hadn’t really made any lifestyle change or it wouldn’t be any struggle, right? I’ve no motivations whatsoever. What can I do? I figured I would start with eating healthy breakfasts for 30 days or until it becomes a good habit and then move on to the next meal. I really don’t like to exercise, perhaps adding some easy yoga moves in the morning (before breakfast) will strengthen my mind and metabolism.

Good habits

By HappySkinnyGirl

I didn’t lose any weight this week. What happened was I was trying to lower my calories intake but the cravings hit me hard. I did go over but not much. I went back to the routine but I didn’t feel I’ve enough energy so I set my calories a little bit higher than the week before. I’m not planning any exercise yet because I want to deal with one thing at a time. All effort is not loss because I’m learning to stick to good habits, and not go overboard when the cravings hit.

Slowly getting there

-0,3kg/o.6lbs lost
New weight: 67.8kg/149.5lbs

Last week was my birthday so I ate food that was high in sugar, and because of it my weight doesn’t want to come off as easily as the week before. I eat mostly prepackaged meals just to keep it simple with calories counting. I cook once in a while when I get tired of eating prepackaged meals. For breakfast I usually have Weight Watchers frozen meal because they have lower calories than other brands here in Sweden. Then for the rest of the day I can have anything I want within my calories budget. I use ShapeUp, an app that tracks calories. It’s so simple to scan in the barcode and then I’m done. I’m looking forward this week to lose some more 🙂

Dump the old baggage before the new year

By HappySkinnyGirl

-0,9kg/2lbs lost. Yes!

I’m making commitment to get in shape before the year ends. I don’t want the next year to be the same as the last 3-4 years. I’ve had it! My mistake was I let the emotions run ahead of me. There are lots of great tips in “Die fat or get tough” book, how fat and fit people think. I understand it now, getting fit starts first in the head. I’m fat because I think fat. I already lost the battle when I see junk food and think yum whereas a fit person would think it as poison.
