I’m not happy I’m not skinny I’m tired I’m tired of being fat I’m tired of working out I’m tired of planning I’m tired of being on the guard I can’t relax I want to do something else that’s fun like start drawing painting or something But I can only focus on one thing at a time if I ever going to achieve this The slowness and going the circle is killing me I’ve seen many bloggers lose 20-50lbs why can’t I do that too Sometimes I do enjoy this journey but what’s the fun when stumbling on the same place?
Ok I feel so much better now. Just need to vent out a bit
Last week was one of those strange weeks, I didn’t focus on weight loss, I ate a lot of chocolate, no exercise, went to bed really late but I didn’t gain weight, and I hit a new low on the scale. I don’t dare to say yay yet, because every time I do my scale is going upward. I don’t know why I lost …maybe it depends on how I stop seeing food. There’s no definition of good food vs bad food. Food is simply food that give us nutritions. Some give us more value that’s all. However, there’s a good choice vs. bad choice. We should be less focusing on food, and focus more on why do we make that choice? You may not come up with the answer, but that’s alright.
I’m slow like a snail, you hardly see me move…but I do =)
I hope this is working, because I deleted the old feed. I’ve moved to a new domain which is HappySkinnyGirl. Please update your BOOKMARK/SUBCRIPTION to the new address: http://happyskinnygirl.com
These are some of my favorite breakfasts. What do you think? I don’t think I can go any healthier than this without giving up the taste. Of course there are always celery sticks, but they’re for rabbits…and bananas are for monkeys =) I’m a bit curious about what you guys eat for breakfast, any tips?
I’m so tired, just no way I can possible continue. And you want to quit. Right? That person if you learn how to defeat that person when you’re running. You will learn how to not quit when things get hard in your life. Running. All right? That’s the first key to life… – Will Smith
It’s very empowering message. I better get start running =) Before, I wanted to lose weight because of health and that I wanted to have a stronger body. But after watching this video, the ultimatum result I want to achieve is to develop a strong and driven persona who can achieve anything.
I love to read to get a new fresh perspective from someone else, beside myself. I’ve been in a deep hole, depressed, searching for answers about life’s purpose and happiness. Reading have helped me through the different stages in my life. Another key I should add is writing. It’s as important as reading.
If you’ve already seen this video, it’s a good reminder =)
I gained some weight this week but that’s because I took a break. I like to eat comfort food once in a while but I need to learn to enjoy without gorging it. I’ve to be on the watch when to eat these type of foods. I think eating them early on the day is the best, the body will have all day to consume all those calories. Sometimes it’s frustrating but it took several years to get fat so it’ll take some time to unlearn the bad behavior.
What lessons have I learned while trying to achieve a healthy lifestyle? Not going on a diet put me in the position of ”I’m the conductor of my life”, and becoming a stronger person. I’m learning to develop a healthy mindset and having better self esteem. Learning to love myself is difficult. Victoria Moran, the author of Fit From Within wrote in her book:
Being fat is not disgusting. Child abuse is disgusting. Tying up a dog outside all day and night in every kind of weather is disgusting. Homelessness and starvation and weapons of mass destructions are disgusting.
We need to learn to accept our body and deal with the problem.
I’m shifting gear on my blog toward personal growth because I want to develop and grow as a person, and get rid off the toxic thoughts. I want to live a vibrant life filled with possibilities and no limitations. Health and weight loss will still be part of the blog’s topic.
This is my last weekly update for weight loss. I’ll only post my progress once in a while in the future. You can however still check out my daily/weekly progress on this page: weight loss progress

So far this year I’ve lost 0.8kg/1.8lbs. I’m seeing a new low, 70.3kg/155lbs! =) I’ve come so far in term of internal struggle and trying to feel happy about my life. Last year I started out really frustrated and without any directions.
Today, I’m happier and don’t struggle to lose weight as much as I used to. I’ve learned to be less obsessed with food. If I did follow a diet, that would be an impossible mission. I handle the cravings quite well but still need to be better at eating food in moderations. I’ve learned to enjoy life, doing things I want to do TODAY. No more putting things off.
This week I didn’t exercise much because I wasn’t feeling well. But it’s alright because 80% of result will come from healthy eating and eating in moderations - for now. If I eat crappy most of the time, no matter how much I exercise I’ll not lose weight.
Weight loss is about achieving balances in your life by making wise choices and small changes. It’s not about will power or disciplines which I used to believe. I know I’ve said some of the things before but it doesn’t hurt to hear it again, right? =)
The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly. - Buddha
That’s how we’ll find peace and happiness when we stop waiting for tomorrow to come. What do we really know about the future, does it really exist? Have you seen a dog or a cat asleep? My kitty lives in the present moment to the fullest and indulges his peacefulness to the maximum while he’s sleeping. That’s because he doesn’t know the concept of tomorrow.
The concept of tomorrow
I think future is an illusion since it’s not happening yet. We predict what is going to happen and when we’re going to reach our dreams/goals. So, tomorrow is based on today’s prediction what will happen the day after. For example, if you don’t exercise or eat better today, the odds will not be in your favor. It’s likely that you’ll not do it tomorrow either, because you didn’t do it today and most people like to procrastinate. The more we play that way, we’ll eventually end up losing the game. So get up and start doing things that will make your health better today.
There is only today
Think of what we can achieve today if we change our thinking from ”I’ll do it tomorrow” to ”I’ll do it today”. I think we’ll achieve our goals faster and be more productive because we’ll be doing things everyday that will bring us closer to our dreams/goals. Do what you like to do today and ditch the concept of tomorrow and see how fast you’ll reach your goals. Stop worrying about the future and start living to your fullest potential today!
