This year has been great, no dieting! I’m happier and feeling a little bit lighter even though I haven’t lost so much weight. My stomach doesn’t feel bloated as before. I’m living a normal life, eat mostly anything I want at holidays and socialize with family and friends at anytime. I’ve establish good habits, I eat better, exercise more, and not so much lunch out or fast food. I don’t feel stress or guilty when the scale doesn’t show the number I like. It has been so many false starts, but I’m starting to see more results during the December month. As long as I turn the habits around in a good time frame, everything will progress forward.
I want to say thank you for all the support from you guys! Especially to Bobby at sailing on the relationship, who is always here.
I hope you guys have a great day on new years eve. Best wishes for 2009 to everyone! May it be a magical one for you and for me. Happy new year! <:-P

It had been one too many invitations this week. I gained weight and my stomach didn’t feel very well afterward. But I’m not so worried about the weight gain because I had a good time. Workout and eating habits had been so-so during this week. My “monthly friend” is coming for a visit and cravings for comfort food is getting stronger but hopefully I’ll get it under control.
I went out to buy a new years eve party dress, but I couldn’t find one that would fit me
That’s a major pain! I’m not just fat but also have pot belly. It looks like I’m pregnant, maybe I should tell people that and hope they don’t expect a baby in 5 months or so

Don’t wait until the new year to start your weight loss or other resolutions. I say, start it now! Don’t wait until the time is perfect, do realize that’s an excuse. Either you’ll do things to help you lose weight or not. But you think, “I want to enjoy the holidays and eat all the yummy food!” Well, You don’t have to go on a diet program to jump start your weight loss.
Here are 5 simple steps to build healthy habits to lose weight:
Step 1: Try adding positive habits before eliminating the bad habits.
At this point, don’t cut out soda pops and other unhealthy food yet. Start eating more of vegetables and fruits. We want this to become a habit. This will help your body to re-energize and get plenty of vitamins and minerals.
Step 2: Switch to an 8″ plate and eat less.
I used to eat like 2-3 big plates filled with food at one single meal. Now I’m only go for one plate.
Step 3: Learn about nutritions, what is healthy or what’s not.
For me, healthy food should have no more than 4g of fat and 4g of sugar per serving. I don’t take numbers dead seriously, so sometimes 6g is ok too. At this point, you should try to cut out some of the fatty food.
Step 4: Start being active and move yourself more.
I don’t mean doing hard exercise or intense workout. We want this to become a habit much like brushing the teeth. Why do we brush the teeth? We do it for the health. Same goes with the muscles. Start out at your own level. If you start out doing too much, chances are that you’ll be frustrated and give up. I prefer Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum, 30 minutes everyday and rest on the weekends. 80/20 is a good ratio. 80% should be focus on the healthy eating and 20% on exercise. That means I’m trying to eat healthy as much as I can but also enjoying the comfort food sometimes, and I don’t do any intense exercises yet. At this point, we want this to become a habit without getting too overwhelmed and stressed out.
Step 5: You don’t have to be doing things 100% perfect all the time.
It’s about making progress, and not about on or off the wagon. If you get off the track, turn your habits around within a week. Don’t wait until it goes too long time. Don’t focus on the past, what you did or didn’t do. Focus instead on today what actions you can take to help you to lose weight.
You’re the expert of your own body, start out at your own level and go from there. If you have anymore tips please add.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I’m losing weight. Yay! Yup, I’m doing a happy dance.
I’m so glad this week is over. *Phew!* I was exhausted but I survived. Today I’m feeling better and have plenty of energy. Sometimes I weigh myself in the morning and in the evening to check the status. It helps me to stay focus and taking actions. Scale isn’t longer a negative obsession, but a positive one.
This week weight loss:
0.8kg/1.8lbs
Workout habits:
Do it like brushing the teeth, “brushing” my muscles 30 minutes everyday with Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum.
Eating habits:
Plenty of vegetables, some nuts, no fruits, occasionally cookies, too little water intake.
Stay healthy and enjoy the weekend everyone!
A little note: As of today I’ll be posting all my posts under the name “healthy girl”.

This week lost:
1kg/2.2lbs.
Form of exercise:
30 minutes 5 days/week (Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2009).
Eating habits:
75% successful. Not counting calories, just eating less but more often. More fruits and vegetables. Too many cookies and cakes, and not enough water intake.
Some tricks to help me with late night cravings:
Visualizing how it would feel to be thin by watching inspiring catwalk videos at Asos. I want to have those dresses!
Having 100 calories snacks every hour or two until the cravings stop.
Sleeping habits:
Sometimes having difficult time to go to bed because there are so much stuff I want to do, but I’m thinking sleeping as “unplugging myself from the world”.
I’m satisfied with the result but not jumping with joy this time, because I know there are a lot of hard work to be done next week. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and let’s hope my internal map is well adjusted so it will take me to the sunny Miami!
Happy weekend everyone!

I’ve learned not to be perfect when it comes to losing weight but it seems I haven’t yet learned how to make progress. I’m still on ”on and off” mode thinking. For example, I’ve been eating healthy and exercise regularly for a month and then off more than a month doing nothing that contribute to a better health. My focus should be on making progress, I shouldn’t let it go more than a week before I turn my habits around.
I admit I was tempted several time to go back to dieting because I wanted to lose weight fast. I don’t want to yo-yo diet anymore. I need to work on building internal strength and adjusting the internal map and eventually I’ll reach my goal. I think I’m getting closer.
Working out is not my strength but it’s like brushing and flossing my teeth. I need to do that everyday or else my health will decline. Let’s see if I can do this 5 days a week. My target is to make correct healthy choices 90% of the time, and allowing 10% for slip ups. It’s alright not to be 100% perfect all the time.
